Assisted Living Way lists every state-licensed community we can find. We are not paid to list any facility, so you can see complete, unbiased information. If you know of an assisted living facility that is not on our site, please contact us.
Through a nationwide survey, we've gathered accurate cost information on assisted senior living communities, so you don't have to spend time making phone calls.
You may be unsure if assisted living is what you need, or if home care services will suffice. Or you may be considering nursing homes for their richer medical care. Assisted Living Way has complete information about all of these options, all in one place.
Assisted living facilities help seniors maintain a healthy lifestyle by providing help with everyday activities. Most will provide meals, cleaning, laundry services, help getting around, as well as a community of other seniors to stay socially involved. Some, but not all, offer nursing care as well. Care ranges from basic assistance with medications and bathing, to thorough care for dementia and Alzheimer's residents.
The community will usually have a baseline cost for residents that includes housing and simple
services. Before moving in, a needs assessment is done to determine if the facility can meet
the resident's needs. If any medical care is needed, the cost of this care is determined in the
needs assessment.
Unlike nursing homes, assisted living costs are paid for with private funds. These costs very greatly from city to city, so search for your city above to get accurate information. Generally, costs range from $1500 to $5000 per month.
